After many days well below zero, with the temperature hitting -36 last night, we are finally going to see the temp go above zero tomorrow. According to current prediction it could get as warm as 20 above. That will really be a switch.

Fire Ban on and off

The fire ban that was to begin at midnight tonight has been cancelled. Yesterday afternoon's and evening's rain resulted in plenty of moisture removing the fire danger. Have not heard if the rain knocked down the fire by Knife Lake.

Yesterday afternoon with temperature hovering in the 60s and a slight breeze the ice finally went out on Little Ollie Lake. However the ice still has a firm lock on mid size lakes in the mid-trail area, such as Poplar. Don't expect these lakes to be ice free for days.
