Alcohol Server Training offered June 13 and 14

In June, Cook County Higher Education will coordinate Alcohol
Server Training at Cascade Lodge and Windigo Lodge, and CCVB Customer
Service Training at the North Shore Campus and Lutsen Resort.
The Cook County Visitors Bureau Customer Service Training will take
place from 1-5 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, at Cook County Higher
Education's North Shore Campus in Grand Marais, and 8 a.m. to noon
Thursday, June 14 at Lutsen Resort. The training is free and open to
everyone.
Presenter for the customer service training will be Dr. Charles
Metelka, chair of the Hospitality and Tourism Department at the
University of Wisconsin –
Stout. Metelka is a seasoned veteran of customer service training and
is familiar with the tourism industry of Minnesota's North Shore.
He is a lively and engaging speaker who promises training sessions
guaranteed to engage even those who are in their fifth or sixth

village to help ensure visitors have a grand time and will want to
return.
The Alcohol Server Training will be presented by Cook County Sheriff
Mark Falk and Brian Kringen of the Minnesota Department of Public
Safety. It will be offered from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. on Monday, June 18,
at Cascade Lodge and 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, June 19, at Windigo
Lodge on the Gunflint Trail.
This training carries a cost of $5 and is open to everyone.
