Deschampe in a tough contest for NCAA Final Four 3-point shootout - votes wanted now!

Cook County High School senior guard Ashley  Deschampe is in a tough bracket in an online Facebook contest to see who will  advance to compete in the National Girls’ High School 3-point  championship shootout.
The contest will take place in New Orleans during the March 30 NCAA  Final Four weekend.
Ashley easily led her competitor in the first bracket, but has fallen behind in the  "final four." Ashley, and her legion fans, hope she can pull ahead and they are asking everyone to vote!

Deschampe was chosen to compete for a spot after was invited to submit
a video of her shooting 3-oint shots. Her video, produced by Viking Coach T.J. Super,  was then selected as
one of the top 16 entered. She is the only Minnesota girl and the only
girl in the upper Midwest in the competition.

The top vote getter gets to compete for a spot in the 2012 American Family Insurance High
School Slam Dunk and 3 point championships. The event will be
televised on CBS on April 1 at 4:30 p.m.
To keep the CCHS all-time scoring leader’s hopes alive, go to and when you see the three
brackets, click on “Women’s 3-Point.”  Look for Ashley’s video on the
right side about half way down. If you aren’t logged into Facebook you
will be asked to do so. If you are a Facebook client then you can vote
for Ashley once each day. It takes less than a minute, so get to it
and let’s watch her on TV on April 1!
