Grand Marais Library offers "Creativity Tank," Monday, Feb. 10

The Arrowhead Library System will present the Creativity Tank, a free hands-on art project at the Grand Marais Public Library at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10.

The Creativity Tank is a group of teaching artists who provide workshops to develop and express creativity through meaningful hands-on art experiences in drawing, papermaking, fiber arts, book arts or creative writing. The Grand Marais project will be Story Book Theater.

Participants will create a book that becomes a stage, tells their story and houses their puppets.  They will join the artists of the Creativity Tank as they fold, cut, write, illustrate the book and stage, and characters who will live in the book’s pockets.  Artist-illustrator Eric Rohmann and his wonderful tales of adventure will be shared as well.

This event is sponsored by the Arrowhead Library System and funded by the Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
