YMCA Job Opening: Summer Camp Counselor

The YMCA is currently hiring for Summer Camp Counselors. Join our dynamic team of employees dedicated to building strong and healthy kids! Work in a fun environment and connect to others in a healthy community. Contribute daily to the mission as part of a cause-driven non-profit organization.

Responsibilities: Summer Camp Counselors are the primary caregivers for each camper. The Counselor is responsible for planning, teaching, coordinating, and carrying out activities and guiding campers in their personal growth and daily living skills.

Position Scheduling:  June – August. Weekly schedule varies slightly but often involves 20-35 hrs/week between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm, Monday-Friday.

• Must be 16 years of age
• Must be able to obtain or become certified in First Aid/CPR (YMCA will provide certification) before June 12th, 2017
• Ability to interact with, lead, manage, and facilitate activities for children ages 5-12

Preferred Qualifications:  
• Experience working with youth in a day camp or school setting
