This past weekend, Grand Marais's North House Folk School celebrated its 25th birthday with UNPLUGGED. This is a compilation of photos from the Friday night concert and artisan market, and the Saturday FREE Okee Dokee concert.
Friday night concert
The Daniel Nelson Trio played before the 7pm concert
Artisans offered goods in the Red Building
People mingled with local brews, wine, and other drinks before the doors opened at 6:30 pm
North House Folk School Director Greg Wright spoke to the almost full tent before the musicians came on stage
The musicians slowly came out in small groups, until all were gathered on stage
They took turns collaborating on different songs from many of the musicians
Extended jam sessions during the songs were not uncommon
Saturday morning concert
Free family crafts were offered before the 10am show
Superior Creamery was there offering some of their homemade ice cream and sorbet for breakfast!
There were rows of chairs in the back, but people were encouraged to bring blankets or chairs if they wanted some space to get up and dance!
And dance they did!
The tent was packed full of fans!
