Author talk with 9-year-old Kiki Garcia at Grand Marais Public Library

The Grand Marais Public Library is delighted to host 9-year-old author Kiki Garcia on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. to talk about her book Fishing by Torchlight. She will read her story and answer questions about the process of writing and publishing her book. After her talk at the library, Garcia will be at Drury Lane Books from 12:30-2:00 p.m. for a meet-and-greet in honor of Independent Book Store Day.
Ningaabi Giizhigukwe, Delores Kiki Garcia, is a member of Mashkiiziibii, the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe on the south shore of Gichigami. She is a member of the Migizi (Bald Eagle) Clan and enjoys the responsibility of teaching others about Ojibwe history, culture and language. She loves her friends and especially her dog Ogichidaa and cat Snowy. Kiki and her dad have a great time traveling to super cool places that are in her books.
