North Shore Music Association (NSMA) will offer a full scholarship to a local Cook County resident for the upcoming Lutsongs Songwriting Retreat, scheduled for April 24-27, 2025. The Lutsongs Songwriting Retreat aims to provide a supportive and inspiring environment for songwriters of all levels to develop their skills under the guidance of experienced, award-winning songwriters.

The scholarship covers all classes, workshops, food, and events associated with the retreat. Lodging is not included.

Local songwriters residing in Cook County are invited to apply for the scholarship by submitting a short essay (250–500 words) outlining the significance of this opportunity to their creative journey. Submissions can be emailed to [email protected]. The application deadline is Saturday, April 19, 2025. 

The recipient of the scholarship will be announced on Monday, April 21.
