An update from the Cook County Highway Department regarding the Gunflint Trail Mill the Hill Project as of April 16, 2025:
KGM Contractors will begin placing traffic control measures on the Gunflint Trail starting Monday, 4/21.
This phase of the project will affect a small section of the Gunflint Trail where it crosses the Little Devil Track River.
By Wednesday, 4/23, traffic will be reduced to a single lane at the crossing of the Little Devil Track River. Traffic will be controlled at the single lane crossing with the use of a traffic light.
